JUBILEE!!! We are so thrilled to open Jubilee Coffee Lounge & Emporium on August 25, 2026—the tenth anniversary of our move to Wadesboro!

This journey began in 2018, when we bought 122 & 124 West Wade Street with every intention of opening a sandwich shop. COVID-19 sidetracked those plans, but we persevered, and we are proud to finally open our doors with this new concept.

Here, you can meet friends, relax, enjoy a brew or an adult libation, and indulge in wonderful pastries from the one and only Albemarle Sweet Shop. We also offer a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Come in and shop for clocks, socks, and more! And be sure to check out our selection of coffees from all over—from Key West Cuban Queen to Harry Potter to your favorite saint.

We want Jubilee to be an extension of our home: an eclectic blend of anything and everything, filled with love, friendship, hospitality, and welcome.

Step inside, and you'll find yourself on a pier overlooking a koi pond that empties into a pool on the veranda below. The glorious mushrooms growing by the patio are the work of Teri Brown.

Mike is an accomplished artist and award-winning designer who specializes in portraits. His artwork is featured in public and private collections around the world, and select original pieces are available for purchase right here at Jubilee.

Chipper Long is an Episcopal priest and rector of Christ Church in Albemarle, North Carolina. He is also the executive director of Anson County Homes of Hope. Chipper is a former Wadesboro councilperson and serves on several committees and commissions in the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina. He is currently working toward his Doctor of Ministry at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury.

Mike and Chipper have four kids: Leo (Basset), Penelope Jane (Old English Sheepdog), Annabelle Maybelline Leigh (Springer Spaniel/Pit Mix), and Beauregard Beaumont (Basset). They all live in a wonderful house that is full of ghosts.

Angela

Hi, I’m Angela, Jubilee’s Events Coordinator and Social Media Manager—the person behind many of the fun events, quirky posts, and “I have an idea!” moments around the shop. I love books, crafting, new adventures, and bringing people together. You’ll find me dreaming up book clubs, craft nights, community events, and plenty of surprises. If you see me with coffee and a notebook, something fun is probably brewing!

Brenna

Hi, I am Brenna! I moved from Wilkes-Barre, PA, to Wadesboro, NC, in 2015. She has two cats and enjoys crocheting. She also likes movies, reading, talking to people, and she loves animals. She is looking forward to this new chapter of being a barista, and serving you at the Jubilee.

Carol

Carol is a widow, mother and Momaw to four beautiful grandchildren. One of her daughters just happens to be the general manager of Jubilee!

Hi, I’m Kelley, Krysten’s mother and Chip’s sister. I work here at Jubilee and at the local ABC store.

I am Krysten! I am looking forward to seeing all of you at The Jubilee. When I am not making specialty coffee drinks, I enjoy being a loving daughter, a caring pet sitter, and expanding my love for arts & crafts.

Lenelle

Hi, my name is Lenelle, mom of two. I’m also a hair stylist. This is my second go at bartending. Mixing drinks is like mixing hair color. It’s creative and colorful. Done correctly, both make people very happy. I love seeing those beautiful smiles.

Nivea

I’m 18 years old and I just graduated high school. I’m so excited for this next chapter of my life and all the opportunities ahead. ♡ I’m a proud sister of four amazing girls. My sisters are my built-in best friends and biggest supporters. Family means everything to me. I’m focused on growing, staying positive, and becoming the best version of myself. ♡

Sweet T

With about 35 years of bartending experience—including 10 months in the Virgin Islands—I’ve learned that a great bartender needs equal parts people skills, creativity, and a smile for every TikTok-inspired drink request. 😂 Sunshine, good vibes, and a well-crafted cocktail are in my DNA. I love bringing color, personality, and fun to whatever I do, because life is better with a good story, a good drink, and a little sunshine.

Taylor

Hey! I’m Taylor. I’m a mom of two boys, a gym rat, and a grandma at heart. If I’m not behind the bar making a coffee, you will find me either hitting new PRs, chasing my toddler, or digging through an estate sale. If you see me behind the bar, know I’m there to hype you up and not just with caffeine.

Teri

Teri is a prolific local artist, wife, and mother. She is complex, full-bodied, and bubbly, just like the drink she’s looking forward to making for you!

Tom

Tom is a down-to-earth, people focused person. He enjoys good food, coffee, cooking and smoking meats and taking care of his cats. Above all he values family, friendships and making a positive difference in the lives of the people around him.
